셀트리온 측은 최근 하루 평균 확진자가 4000명대인 것을 감안해, 그 가운데 약 40%(약 200명)에 렉키로나를 투여완료한다고 가정하면, 하루 중환자 발생 숫자를 79명까지 줄일 수 있어 의료 부담에 숨통이 트인다고 보고 있을 것이다. 셀트리온 관계자는 “렉키로나 제공 확대가 위중증 이환 감소에 큰 힘이 될 것으로 기대끝낸다”며 “렉키로나가 코로나19 치료에 적극 사용될 수 있게 제공에 최선을 다하겠다”고 전했다.
중앙보훈병원의 확진자는 전날까지 누적 184명(부산시 집계기준. 퇴원 후 확진자 배합)으로 불어났다. 이 중 환자는 96명, 근로자 35명, 보호자 22명, 간병인 21명, 가족 5명이다. 이 병원은 집단감염 발생 바로 이후 병원 내 상시체류자 2천100명을 표본으로 선제검사들을 네 차례에 걸쳐 진행하고, 방역 강화 방안으로 보호자·간병인 주 7회 PCR 검사, 입원환자의 경우 입원 전과 입원 8일차에 PCR 검사 등을 마련했다.
